The Regional Plan for the Way Down South platform (hosted via waydownsouth.co.nz) focuses on a collaborative economic strategy to enhance business opportunity across rural and urban southern communities.

The main objectives of the strategy include:

📈 Uniting Otago & Southland

  • One Shared Marketplace: The core directive is to unite regional towns and districts across Otago and Southland into a single, cohesive online marketplace.

  • Boosting Local Business: The plan targets driving commercial growth for localized southern businesses, giving smaller provincial districts equal digital visibility alongside larger cities like Dunedin.

  • Creating Regional Opportunity: By pooling resources across the southern regions, the platform aims to establish greater transactional and promotional opportunities than businesses would find operating in isolation.

Enhanced 'Start ups' and 'experimentation friendly' affordability due to totally free permanent and flexible banner ads on highly publicised platform totally free for 12 months, and from only $5.00 per week for existing businesses will allow everyone to have brilliant marketing kept fresh and interesting.
