In the spring of 2026 we will launch the WAY DOWN SOUTH website to provide a promotional platform for coastal Otago and Clutha businesses and community organisations followed by Rakioura, Southland, Central Otago and Waitaki regions.
To help promote the purpose and aims of the campaign we will use the the top rating radio high powered station NEWSTALK ZB and social media simultaneously.
The first goal we have for this campaign is to establish growth in business for everyone by exposing and promoting business opportunity within every town and rural district in Otago & Southland by creating a greater pool of customers for goods and services by actively supporting and merging with our neighbours.
Kiwis of all ages have good ideas for a small business but the high cost and difficulty of getting the message out to the public constantly usually destroys any chance of actually making a profit, well NOT ANY MORE, thanks to our councils and major business supporters you are able to have constant advertising absolutely FREE for 6 months then with options from just $5 per week.
The second goal we have for this campaign is to encourage employment and an ability for everyone to earn some additional income to offset some of the cost of living expenses that we are all experiencing and lets be honest expenses will always continue to rise no matter where you live! We can all help each other.
The third goal we have for this campaign is to encourage southern wide social contact and support for public occasions, concerts, special interest gatherings, sports events. food festivals, school reunions, rural show days and so many social opportunities that we can all invite each other to attend which in turn brings money into town which helps local shops and accomodation income.
The fourth goal we have for this campaign is to make sure it is a huge success and then we can spread the campaign up through Canterbury, Westland, Tasman and Nelson thereby growing our southern business and social reach into the entire South Island encouraging business action transactable by ecommerce and active communication.
This would give our southern councils and other parties an opportunity to employ and invite families to move into our fabulous regions growing our populations and diversity.
As we will be utilising our own ONLINE RADIO streaming capability alongside our WAY DOWN SOUTH website we will be reaching the entire country and indeed many people around the world as we go.
We will be able to gauge our media reach into these markets and will share all opportunities with our customers.
